There will always be updates
Running a website or, alternatively a blog site like this, often comes with routine maintenance that needs to be carried out. Due to constraints on my time, I cannot always complete updates to this blog site when nobody is visiting the site. It also cannot ever happen that way; it's like the Windmill, this blog site never closes (except when the Windmill Theatre did finally stop accepting paying customers through the door on 31 October 1964). Come On You Wands is available to be visited and viewed around the world, so there is never any 'down' time to work within — unless the blogger.com servers go down in which case 'down' time is out of my control.
If you are paying a visit to this blog site and something suddenly disappears from view, for instance, the menu bar suddenly goes away or the fixtures/results page goes a bit haywire then please don't be too alarmed as it is probably me tinkering behind the scenes. I add my own HTML and CSS coding on certain aspects of the site and, occasionally, I might cock up what I am doing. But fear not because, with the coding, what is added can be taken away if that is what it takes to preserve the status quo.
There may be times, like now (or just after now) when I am typing out a new post or article and I am in the middle of uploading it. Suddenly the front page will change by the inclusion of a new article 'leader' section. By the time that happens, any new article that I have written will be fully uploaded and ready to view and read. Yesterday, I twiddled about with the side bar, so that now the display ads for my 'After Grassmeade' and 'My Grassmeade Days' publications are placed there instead of me adding them to the foot of each article. By the way, if you haven't already worked it out, if you wish to access the side bar, just click on the three lines 'hamburger' icon at the very top left of your computer screen on the 'Home' page. The side bar will then slide out from the left. To place it back again, just click anywhere outside of the side bar and it will close to the left again. It should also work the same way on mobile (cell) phones and tablets.
Tomorrow, I am aiming to meddle with the HTML and CSS coding again, as I try to add drop downs to the top menu. This will hopefully give me additional space to expand and include things like new links and pages without running out of menu space. I know this may sound a bit foreign to some but, once I've cocked things up a few times, hopefully you will then know what I am talking about when I get it right and you will have a better visiting experience.
While I am typing this, I will add that I wouldn't complain if you spread the word about this blog site. I don't 'do' social media but I know that many of my visitors to this blog site do. If you can just slip in the odd good word or two or even a link in your Tweets or Facebook comments then it will be much appreciated.
Okay, I think I'm done here now so, COYW!
